American Bar Association Inside Practice

Letter from the Publisher

Over the past year we have partnered with several independent publishers. The list is impressive and exclusive:

  • Harvard Business School Press
  • Merriam-Webster
  • Oxford University Press
  • University of Chicago Press
  • BNA
  • American Bar Foundation

So far we've added nearly 200 new products from these publishers alone. And we have more products scheduled to hit the Web store soon, from these and from new partners such as NITA, Oceana, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Psychological Association, the Society of Human Resource Management, the Professional Education Group, and others. Several hundred new products are on the way.

You may ask, "Why should I order one of these products from the ABA, when I could order it directly from that other publisher?" There are two good reasons to buy these distributed products through the ABA Web store. First, in many cases, you will receive a discount for being an ABA member--a discount you wouldn't receive directly from these outside publishers. Second, by buying through the Web store, you are helping to support the ABA: the ABA receives a portion of the profit from each sale, which in turn is used to help fund the activities of the association.

I hope you'll find the many products from our external partners to be as timely and high-quality as those published by ABA entities. We believe we are assembling a rich and varied mix of titles and products, all with the same purpose in mind: to help you be a better, more prepared, more effective lawyer.

Best regards,

Bryan Kay
