Program Overview:
In this dialogue with Mr. Stanislaus he will provide an overview of EPAs Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER) priorities for 2010-2011. Specific topics of interest that Mr. Stanislaus will address include:
Environmental justice issues in key EPA rulemakings and other program areas, with a focus on rulemaking proceedings for the definition of solid waste
EPAs Community Engagement Initiative that fosters and facilitates local communities engagement in decision making processes to produce outcomes that are protective and aligned with community goals
A status report on EPAs proposal to regulate coal combustion products under RCRA, and
EPA efforts to improve and expand land revitalization and environmental cleanups of contaminated properties
