This teleconference will feature a one-on-one conversation with Adam Kushner, who until December 18, 2011, served as the director of EPA's Office of Civil Enforcement, and is now in private practice in the Washington, DC office of Hogan Lovells. In this position, Mr. Kushner was responsible for setting enforcement priorities and overseeing the work of EPA environment officials throughout the nation. This teleconference offers a unique opportunity to hear about EPA's civil enforcement program from a former high ranking government official with detailed knowledge of how the program operates. Mr. Kushner will share his thoughts and observations on the environmental enforcement landscape, including the energy extraction enforcement initiative, environmental justice and its role in enforcement, and the changing nature of administrative enforcement.
