This panel brings together proponents and skeptics of sustainable development to discuss the challenge of incorporating environmentally friendly design and planning, while dealing with the challenges of individual property rights and fears over governmental action.
With the current skeptical political climate in the United States, smart growth and other green development ideas are being challenged on political and legal terms. Our speakers will present an overview of sustainable building concepts and will highlight current examples of challenges and political debates.
Noted experts in their fields, the speakers will also discuss best practices for professionals dealing with sustainable development issues and will debate what the future holds in this area.
