This years Fundamentals session will focus on the twists and turns of a health care deal. Our panel of attorneys experienced with transactional, regulatory, and reimbursement issues will walk through a case study of a healthcare facility acquisition and examine the considerations that face lawyers and their clients when negotiating, structuring, and closing a transaction including diligence issues, change of ownership (licensure, certification, CON, Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers), asset vs. stock acquisition, fraud and abuse, and valuation matters.
True to its title, this session will not assume extensive prior knowledge or experience in healthcare transactions; however, practitioners at every level should benefit from this in-depth discussion of challenging issues and the unique opportunity for extensive audience interaction the session has to offer. The issues discussed in this teleconference will have broad application to other types of health care transactions.
