About this Annual Report

This Annual Report is produced in accordance with the Bylaws of the American Bar Association. Included in this volume is the official list of Officers, Members of the Board of Governors, and members of committees of the House of Delegates, a narrative covering the meetings of the House of Delegates, and the reports of ABA units, including the Board of Governors.

The reports submitted to the House of Delegates by committees, sections and divisions, affiliated organizations, and state and local bar associations are reproduced as originally presented to the House. The House may have declined to approve some recommendations, deferred action others, or amended others before approval. For the action of the House, which constitutes Association policy, see the Proceedings appearing at pages 1--49 of this volume.

Not included is the American Bar Association Directory, the size of which will not accommodate publication here. Also omitted are items which are available in other ABA publications, notably the list of approved law schools (published in the annual Review of Legal Education), and the list of uniform and model acts promulgated by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (available from the National Conference on a more current basis).

Questions concerning the Annual Reports may be directed to the Division for Policy Administration at the Headquarters Office.
