Some businesses actually profited from the post-Katrina influx of recovery workers and clean-up crews. Should insurers honor claims from these businesses and, in effect, give them a windfall? Yes, argues the author, who says that the basic tenets of business interruption coverage work work and should remain intact, even in the wake of catastrophic damage.
