Our panel will address the primary federal programs enacted in response to the economic crisis, including the Troubled Assets Relief Program ("TARP"), the Term Asset-Backed Loan Facility ("TALF"), the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 ("EESA") and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ("ARRA") and will consider the implications of these government programs and laws for commercial real estate. The panel will also consider how these federal programs and laws will affect commercial real estate lending by institutional lenders such as banks, life insurance companies, pension plans and securitized lenders.
The panel includes attorneys that have represented the federal government, affected financial institutions and commercial real estate investors.
