Surveys are an integral part of real estate transactions. Accurate and properly prepared surveys are essential to diligence items, especially when land is to be insured for title insurance purposes. The American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors, Inc. recently promulgated effective February 23, 2011, new minimum standard detail requirements for ALTA/ACSM land title surveys.
This program will discuss the new minimum standards, and explain how these standards may impact the requests and production of surveys and the treatment of surveys for title insurance purposes.
