Description

In 2011 the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued its final regulations implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), which was enacted on September 25, 2008 and became effective January 1, 2009. The Act made a number of significant changes to the Americans with Disabilities Act's (ADA) "disability" definition, reinstating a broad scope of protection under the ADA. Our expert faculty, including Commissioners from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will discuss the latest legal updates on the ADAAA. The Commissioners will primarily focus on reasonable accommodations, leave (FMLA, Short-term, and Long-term Disability), and reassignment. This is a unique opportunity to learn from, and ask questions of, our expert panelists and the Commissioners on this rapidly changing area.

In this program, the faculty will
  • examine the EEOC's most recent regulations and guidance on the ADAAA;

  • discuss significant court decisions applying the ADA Amendments Act; and

  • answer your ADAAA related questions.
