The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) was enacted to allow employees to balance their work and family life by taking reasonable unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons. The FMLA seeks to accomplish this purpose in a manner that accommodates an employer's legitimate interests, and minimizes the potential for employment discrimination -- especially on the basis of gender and/or disability. This audio CD-ROM provides a comprehensive overview of the FMLA's provisions, its practical implications for both employers and employees, as well as the common pitfalls encountered by employers when implementing FMLA mandates. This program provides a solid understanding of the FMLA's requirements and how they are put into practice.

This audio CD-ROM includes full program audio and PDF course materials.
