This program will address the basic structure, payment methodologies and coverage of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The concepts addressed in this course are critical to efficiently researching issues and advising health care clients on legal compliance with program requirements. A health care client’s failure to fully understand the requirements of the Medicare and Medicaid programs can result in significant legal consequences ranging from civil penalties to criminal prosecution.
This program will help you gain an understanding of the types of health care services covered by the Medicare and Medicaid programs, how these services are paid, and the differences in how each program is regulated and administered. The speakers will guide you through various strategies and resources for researching the often complicated questions raised by health care clients participating in multiple federal health care programs.
