Valuation of assets is a key issue in virtually every business dispute. However, methods of valuation vary widely. Understanding how to approach valuations, and the methodology behind them, is essential to assessing claims and damages in cases. This program will discuss how to value and litigate commonly disputed assets in business litigation including: real estate, going concern/enterprise value, and intellectual property. Valuation of distressed assets will be introduced and addressed.

The ABA will seek 1.5 hours of general CLE credit in 60-minute states and 1.8 hours of CLE credit in 50-minute states. Credit hours granted are subject to each state’s approval and credit rounding rules.
