Government Affairs Practice Committee

Who We Are

The mission of the Government Affairs Practice Committee is to provide informational resources and a forum for the exchange of ideas regarding substantive areas of policy, political law and the regulation of the profession for federal, state and provincial lobbyists and government affairs practitioners, both in-house and in private practice.

Message From The Chair

Welcome to the Government Affairs Practice Committee page. I am excited to have taken over as chair of the committee, and I look forward to working with all of you to develop timely and informative content and provide a forum for the exchange of thoughts and ideas. This committee welcomes all practitioners who deal with government affairs in their practice, whether it be as in-house counsel, a private practitioner or as a government employee. This committee is an excellent resource for all government affairs practitioners, and I encourage all members to become active and involved. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, please feel free to contact me at anytime. My email is akellogg@hselaw.com and my phone number is (518) 434-4377.

Mark your calendars for the Annual Business Law Section meeting! The Annual Meeting will take place from September 8-10, 2016 in Boston, MA. Our Committee will be meeting during the Annual meeting. We will also be hosting at least one CLE on a hot topic in Government Affairs. Check back for more details as we get closer to the meeting.
