About the Committee

The Corporate Counsel Committee provides a forum for current and former in-house counsel, as well as their colleagues at law firms, in government and in academia, to develop networking opportunities, and to gain practical knowledge of international legal matters of concern to corporate counsel. Our membership is not limited to in-house counsel, and includes participants from around the world, including many lawyers practicing outside of the U.S., as well as individuals who are interested in an in-house career in the future. We work closely with other Section Committees to develop continuing legal education and other programs designed to address substantive areas of law of interest to in-house counsel. We are always looking for new programming ideas based on questions or issues which are of interest to corporate counsel. We serve as the "voice" of the in-house bar to the Section, helping the Section to better understand the needs of corporate counsel through outreach and planning. Members of our committee frequently are represented at Section meetings as panelists or moderators. We can provide access to speaking and publications opportunities to interested committee members through our co-sponsorship of programs with other committees. Through our Section meetings and Committee activities, our members have unparalleled opportunities to meet external counsel in a wide range of practice areas and in geographies around the world. For those of us who are generalists in our practice, nothing is better than knowing who to call when a legal matter arises which requires subject matter and geographic expertise. We are always looking for new members!
