Section of International Law:
International Environmental Law Committee

Message from the Co-Chairs

Welcome to the International Environmental Law Committee of the ABA's Section of International Law. The Committee serves as a forum for the community of private practice, in-house, non-profit, academic and government lawyers practicing or interested in environmental law in an international dimension. It also serves as a resource for the exploration of developments in international environmental law and their implications for the practice of law, diplomacy, scholarship, and legal education. We coordinate with other Section committees to explore the relationship between international environmental law and other legal specialties such as human rights or international economic law, as well as relevant committees in other ABA Sections, particularly the International Environmental Law Committee of the Section of Environment, Energy & Resources.

We invite you to share your enthusiasm for this exciting area of law and policy by participating in the Committee and its activities, including program events, year-end review and the quarterly newsletter. Please don't hesitate to contact either of us if you have any questions or suggestions, or simply want to get more involved.
