Site Remediation Committee

[COMMITTEE DOESN'T EXIST AS OF 8/31/10]

2009-2010 Committee Chair:

James M. Redwine, AlixPartners LLP, Baton Rouge, LA

Message from the Chair

The Committee on Site Remediation deals with any and all legal, technical and scientific issues relating to remediation of contaminated property. We are concerned with cleanups or remediations under CERCLA, under state hazardous substance remediation programs, under RCRA corrective action, under Brownfields programs, or under anything else you might care to think of.

As in past years, the Committee will be presenting programs, either on our own or in cooperation with other committees, publishing newsletters, writing a section for the The Year in Review and keeping our members abreast of new legal developments. More importantly, what we do and what we get involved in is determined by our members. If you have an idea for a program, an article, or any other type of activity, please contact me or the appropriate Committee Vice Chair directly. If your practice or interests involve site remediation, please think about joining us and contributing your experience and points of view.

Finally, as a new service to our members, a map is available which has links going to the web pages of each of the state environmental agencies that deal with site remediation. This streamlined version of the fabulous and well-known State and Regional Cooperation web page gives our members instant access to the relevant pages of information from each state. We hope you will find it useful.

I look forward to working with all of you in the coming year.
