Practical Tips on Enforcing and Defending Patents

Advance Registration: You can register online on the Section website at www.abanet.org/intelprop/2003ptips_sd,
or complete and mail the registration form with your payment. If paying by credit card, you may fax the completed form to 312/988-5628. Deadline for re-ceipt of advance registration is June 3, 2003. Payment must accompany form.

Onsite Registration: Onsite registration will be available at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Wednesday, June 17, 2003 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Onsite registrations must include payment.
Registration Confirmation: Confirmations will be sent via e-mail in advance of the program for all registrations received prior to June 3, 2003.

Cancellation Policy: Registrants unable to attend will receive a refund less a $25 administrative fee if a written cancellation request is received by June 3, 2003 either by e-mail at intelprop@abanet.org, or by fax at 312/988-5628, attn.: Practical Tips Program. No refunds will be granted after June 3, 2003. Substitutions are acceptable. The ABA reserves the right to cancel any program and assumes no responsibility for personal expenses.
Food and Beverage: There will be coffee service prior to the start of the program, and during breaks. A buffet luncheon will be provided for an additional fee.

Location and Lodging
: The site of the program is the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, 4000 Coronado Bay Road, Coronado, CA. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort at the discounted rate of $239 single/double occupancy, plus an 8% room tax. The cut-off date for room reservations at the group rate is Monday, May 19, 2003. Afteer that date, rooms can be reserved at the special rate on a space available basis only. To reserve a room, call the Loews Coronado Bay Resort directly at 619/424-4000 or 800/81-LOEWS. Be sure to mention the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law program to receive the special rate.

Travel: The ABA offers a discounted travel program. CLE Credit: CLE accreditation has been requested for this program from every state with mandatory continuing education requirements for lawyers. Please be aware that each state has its own rules and regula-tions, including its definition of "CLE". Check with your state agency for confirmation of this program's approval. States with lawyer specialization programs have not been requested to certify this program. Cer-tificates of attendance will be available in the registra-tion kits onsite. Attendees requesting credit for the program must sign the attendance roster onsite at the program. New York attorneys must sign in and sign out each time they enter or leave the program room, and complete the special New York certificate of at-tendance at the end of each program and have it signed by authorized ABA personnel.
