4th Annual Section of Labor & Employment Law Conference Host Committee
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Annual Section of Labor and Employment Law Conference , which is being held in Chicago. The headquarter s hotel for the Annual Conference is the Marriott Michigan Avenue, situated in the center of the Magnificent Mile, just a short walk to Lake Michigan, Water Tower, Millennium Park and Grant Park.
There is something for everyone in Chicago, and we encourage you to take advantage of our hometown. Whether it is our award-winning restaurants, shopping, theaters, museums, live music, parks, bike paths or beaches, we hope you will enjoy the city's many cultural, artistic and athletic aspects.
Discover the beauty and rich architectural history of Chicago’s world-famous buildings during an affordable guided tour (on foot, aboard a Chicago River yacht, lakeshore cruise or sightseeing bus). You will see it all, from the gothic greatness of the Tribune Tower to the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), an awe-inspiring structure that is so tall it requires its own ZIP code to the city’s 29 miles of lakefront walking and biking paths. Also, don't forget the plethora of cultural and world famous museums including the Art Institute, Museum of Contemporary Art, the Field Museum, and many more.
If you plan to venture outside the city, only a short drive or public transportation ride from downtown, the nearby suburban neighborhood of Oak Park is where Frank Lloyd Wright's legendary life came to fruition. You will have the opportunity to learn about Wright's famous Prairie School style architecture and the meaning behind it. In addition to Wright’s home and studio, Oak Park boasts 25 other Wright buildings – the world's largest concentration of Wright-designed structures. While in Oak Park you can also visit Ernest Hemmingway’s birthplace and museum.
