Description: At Miami Dade College (MDC), opportunity changes everything. Nowhere is this more evident than at MDC's Law Center, which offers an "ABA Approved" Associate in Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. The program offers excellent learning opportunities both in the classroom and beyond. In addition to a rigorous curriculum, students excel in mock trial exercises, willingly serve as mentors to at-risk youth, and embrace community service opportunities through the Society of Law and Community Service (S.L.C.S.), a student led organization on campus. After graduation, students are prepared for entry-level jobs in law offices, government agencies, and bank or business corporations. It enables persons working in the field without a degree to upgrade their skills to become a qualified paralegal. In addition, graduates may apply to transfer to upper-division universities to complete a four-year degree.

for litigation or transactions. Our students continually develop
their legal writing and research competence as the foundation
coursework familiarizes them with the different areas of the law.
