Description:

The Pro Bono Committee seeks to foster pro bono service by the Section and its members. As a public service to contractors, the bench, and the bar, the Pro Bono Committee of the Section of Public Contract Law has created a Manual for Pro Se Litigants before the Federal Boards of Contract Appeals. The Manual is intended to alleviated the inefficiency and delay that often occurs in appeals brought pro se, due to a lack of familiarity and experience with BCA procedures. It is a comprehensive primer on procedures, in layman's terms, and includes an appendix of forms. This publication, which the ABA offers free of charge from its website, should also be a valuable reference for lawyers, particularly those who are new to Contract Disputes Act appeals.

Volunteers and Cases:

The Committee has five members. In addition to the Committee members, eight Section members participated in the drafting and editing of the Pro Se Manual.
