Aviation Law Compendium

In 1984, our Committee published a "Summary of Aviation-Related State Laws." We have now updated that publication. Our new summary is a quick reference to key areas of the law, listed jurisdiction by jurisdiction. Each category (e.g., general negligence principles, choice of law, products liability, tort reform) is supported by relevant authority. The Compendium is available only to Committee members.

All summaries are available in PDF format (PDF).

Many thanks to Desmond T. Barry and Christopher R. Christensen of Condon & Forsyth, New York, NY and J. Michael Bean of Maloney, Bean & Horn, Houston, TX for their time and commitment in researching and drafting detailed summaries on all 50 states.

Please forward any suggestions, comments, or updates on the law to either Juanita Madole or Bob Gross.

Editor's note: This online compendium should be used as only a starting point and not a substitute for original research. The views expressed in the Compendium are those of the contributing authors and not necessarily those of their employers or the American Bar Association.
