Subcommittees

 

Our active subcommittees include:


Content The content subcommittee is responsible for the development of all committee content including website, newsletter and other publications.  This group has bi-monthly phone calls.


Programming The programming subcommittee is responsible for the development of all of our programs and trainings, for example, our annual spring teleconference and programs at conferences, such as the Section of Litigation Annual Conference or the National Association of Counsel for Children Annual Conference.


Education The education subcommittee is currently working on several projects including the development of a model school code. 


Right to Counsel This subcommittee works on the committee’s initiative of instituting a right to counsel for children in abuse and neglect cases.  This subcommittee currently hold monthly strategy calls and has an active list serve.

Dignity in Schools Project


The Education Subcommittee of the Children’s Rights Litigation Committee has formed a work group to explore the widespread and growing problem of “pushout”—the removal of children from school via open and hidden institutional policies.
