Message from the Chairs

We appreciate your interest in the ABA Section of Litigation Energy Litigation Committee and encourage you to take advantage of timely legal updates, committee activities, and breaking news. Energy—in all its forms—generates challenging legal issues that impact all aspects of our lives from the price at the pump all the way to the provision of sustainable energy sources for the world. The Energy Litigation Committee strives to provide content that highlights these key issues.

We are pleased to announce some of this year’s benefits to our growing membership:

Section Annual Conference
The Section of Litigation will host its Section Annual CLE Conference April 15–17, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference represents the premier networking, learning, and business-development opportunity offered by the Section of Litigation. We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans.

Committee Networking Events
The Energy Litigation Committee holds quarterly telephone conferences to discuss committee business and invites all members to participate. Look for a listserv with all the details for the calls. At the Section of Litigation Annual Conference, we will have several networking and business-development events for our members. Additionally, we will hold a business meeting and lunch for committee members to discuss plans for the remainder of the year and plans for the upcoming bar year. Join us and help shape the future of the committee.

Webpage and Newsletter
Visit our webpage regularly for new content such as case updates, news updates, articles, and information about our subcommittees and how to increase your participation in the Energy Litigation Committee. Contact our webpage or newsletter editors if you want to get published in one of our award-winning publications. We always welcome fresh and innovative articles on energy topics.

The chief reason the Energy Litigation Committee brings such outstanding opportunities to our committee members is the hard and dedicated work of the lawyers who lead our subcommittees. We invite you to review our list of subcommittees on this page and hope that you will contact a subcommittee chair to become more involved.
