Anne Fritz Understands the Needs of Local Bars
The particular needs of local bars will be on Anne Fritz's mind when she becomes NABE president in two years.
Fritz, the executive director of the Memphis Bar Association, was recently elected NABE vice president. She said she is very aware of differences between larger and smaller bars, and plans to spend time focusing on the "burdens placed on smaller bars."
Adapting technology is "one of the big equalizers" that helps local bars stay competitive with their larger brethren, Fritz said.
She initially got active in NABE through the Program Committee. She enjoyed the chance to meet with colleagues who face similar challenges in running their associations. She was NABE secretary for the past year.
Fritz said she is "honored, and a little nervous" about being elected to eventually become president.
