About Us

The ABA/TIPS Media, Privacy and Defamation Law Committee is dedicated to the enrichment of professionals in the area of media, privacy and defamation law. Our Committee updates, educates and entertains our members through the Media, Privacy and Defamation Law Committee Newsletter. Our Committee also co-sponsors a number of programs which encourage our members to network around media, defamation and privacy issues.

As you may be aware, the TIPS Section provides many opportunities for members to become involved in committee activities. In addition to the annual continuing legal education programs and social events offered at Annual Midyear Meetings of the Section, the Media, Privacy and Defamation Law Committee sponsors several meeting that may be of interest to you. This year, the Committee's meetings include; the PLI Conference in New York, the Boca Program in January and the Kansas City Program in the spring. I strongly encourage you to become actively involved in all of our activities.
