TIPS Committee Main Sponsor:

Description:

The Medicine and Law Committee presented a CLE at the 2009 ABA Annual Meeting titled "Winning Your Case Through Expert Witnesses." Our esteemed panel included a plaintiff’s lawyer, defense lawyer, trial judge and an experienced physician/medical expert. The panelists shared their perspectives, experiences and strategies for identifying, recruiting, preparing, presenting and cross-examining medical experts during depositions or at trial. Attendees learned how to effectively use medical experts during depositions or at trial and how to use medical experts to prepare a case for trial, to pursuade a jury or judge and to win a case. An interactive panel discussion with audience participation followed the presentation.
