INSURANCE LITIGATION COMMITTEE Message from the Chair |
It was with some trepidation that I sat before my empty notepad in preparation for writing this initial column. First, let me express my thanks and appreciation for the trust placed in me by my respected friends and colleagues in the Title Insurance Bar. I will do all that I can to continue the high level of programs and service of this committee, to the Bar and its clients. In this regard, I extend my thanks and best wishes to my predecessor, Kevin Dunleavy, the outgoing Chair, both for his hard work in the position and for his work on the September 2006 and March 2007 Programs. I wish to also thank Conrad Meyer, III, who stepped forward to chair the program in New Orleans in March. Likewise, we all appreciate the hard work of our past Chair, Connie Clark. Kevin and Connie have set the bar high for this Committee, and I hope to continue the tradition of excellence. I look forward to working with the members of the Committee in the coming year, and working towards the goals we have set. While there will be many hands that will be indispensable to the success of these efforts. I wish to extend additional thanks to the Chair-Elect, Jerel Hill, who will be taking over the reins in August, and is the program Chair for the San Antonio seminar. Once again, thank you for the opportunity to serve with this Committee. I look forward to working with you
all to make this a successful year. Jesse S. Hernandez, Esq.
